A harmony brought by the world

In July 2023, Gangneung will host the largest choir event in the world.
From July 3 to 13, Gangneung Arena and Gangneung Art Center will host a variety of events, including choir competitions,
street parades, street performances, and the Congress of the World Choir Council.

The World Choir Games has been held every two years since its beginning in Austria in 2000.
This year’s event will feature 230 Korean choir groups and 7,600 singers in 321 choirs from 34 countries around the world.

The theme of the event is “Peace and Prosperity for All,” under which 28 competitions, along with other events, will be held.
Choir groups from around the world will also hold friendship concerts across Gangneung. These concerts are open to all, free of charge.
