Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024, a peaceful future opened by coexistence and harmony

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) organizes the Youth Olympic Games, a global youth sports event. Three Olympic games were staged, beginning with the Winter Games in Innsbruck, Austria in 2012 and finishing with the Lausanne Games in 2020. It shares some similarities with the adult Olympics, but there is a significant distinction in that it emphasizes engagement of the youth, education, and cultural events. In a nutshell, it is a competition 'for, with, and by youth'. The Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024, Asia's first Winter Youth Olympic Games, will be hosted in four cities in Gangwon-do (Gangneung, Pyeongchang, Jeongseon, and Hoengseong), including Gangneung, from January 19 to February 1, 2024.
