Dial 100 (KT) or 106 (SK Broadband) from anywhere in the country to book an appointment to set up a landline phone. Call the number above to speak to a service representative. Sign up for automatic debit arrangement so that the payment for your monthly phone can be collected from your bank account on the due date, or pay by using Giro online(www.giro.or.kr ,☎ 1577-5500). That way, you can conveniently pay your bill every month without having to visit the bank.
- SK Broadband : Call ☎ 106 to speak to a service representative in Korean. Once you get connected to a service representative, you can ask for services in English and Chinese.
- KT : Call ☎ 100 to speak to a service representative in Korean or call the KT Foreign Customer Center at ☎ 1588-8448 to speak to an agent in English, Chinese, or Japanese.
Mobile phone
Most foreigners are unable to purchase mobile phones in installments and instead must pay it in full upfront. A person with an alien registration card can obtain a mobile phone number in his/her name.
