The vision of Gangwon 2024 is to deliver sports that lead to a peaceful future resulting from coexistence and unity and bring about joy and growth. The aim is to create positive changes in the region and promote social cohesion, while influencing society in the areas of sports, culture, and education.
Gangwon 2024 will reuse many of the facilities used at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics. This will help save money and ensure a sustainable Youth Olympics, while giving young athletes participating in the Youth Olympics the opportunity to compete in the same arenas where the Olympic Games were held several years ago.
